Q. What is the purpose of the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital Foundation?
A. The Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital Foundation is the official gift-receiving and fund management organization of Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.  The Foundation supports the mission of the Hospital by receiving, managing, and distributing your generous gifts that enhance our programs and facilities and benefit patients, staff, physicians, and the community.

Q. What specific services does the Foundation provide?
A. The Foundation is primarily responsible for fundraising and managing special events; receiving, recording, receipting, acknowledging and reporting gifts; investing funds; providing stewardship for fund disbursement, and maintaining a database of donors and friends.  The Foundation is committed to strengthening relationships with donors and friends of the Hospital who are our partners in achieving local-focused health care excellence.

Q. How is the Foundation governed?
A. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors appointed by the Hospital Board and is made up of community leaders and philanthropists. These individuals help oversee the Foundation’s policies and procedures and monitor its finances.

A. Please make your check payable to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Q. Are donations tax-deductible?
A. Yes, donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Q. What will my donation support? Can I designate my gift?
A. You may make an unrestricted gift that allows the Foundation to direct your donation where the need is greatest or you may allocate your gift to a specific program

Q. Can I make a gift in honor or memory of someone?
A. Your donation may be made in honor or in memory of someone special. An acknowledgement will be sent to the person you specify.

Q. Can I make an anonymous gift? What will the Foundation do with my personal information?
A. Yes, the Foundation respects your desire to remain an anonymous donor.  Your personal donation remains strictly confidential.
